Chimneys are more than just a ventilation system for your fireplace. They are also tied to your furnace. That’s why chimney maintenance is important, not just to keep your home heating system running smoothly but also for your safety. From soot to creosote build up, a dirty chimney, stove, furnace or boiler can cause fires, which may lead to devastating structural damage or worse! Old chimney liners can also cause carbon monoxide buildup that can cause illness or even death. Our Certified Chimney Sweepers can keep your home safe, clean and healthy with a range of services.
Your chimney is also connected to your furnace, so by not maintaining your chimney you can also damage your furnace.
Many things can go wrong with chimneys; from holes in the mortar, cracks in the lining, deterioration due to exposure to weather, etc. Usually, you’ll notice something wrong when your chimney stops venting properly, but you might not know exactly what’s wrong. A1 Chimney Sweep professionals quickly diagnose the problem and fix it.
CMSweeps Chimney & Masonry Repair have been repairing chimneys for many years. Our guys are qualified masons. These men have seen everything chimney-wise. In addition to chimney service, we perform wood stove repairs, fireplace repairs, and a wide array of other work to keep your house clean and safe.. Our men are all top-notch and every one of them is approved by our founder.
Level 1: With a Level 1 inspection, our chimney technician will examine the readily accessible portions of your chimney with a flashlight, examining all areas of your chimney and flue that can be viewed without any special tools. Your technician will examine the chimney to make sure the basic structure is intact, and there are no visible signs of damage. In this inspection, the technician should also verify that there are no obstructions or combustible materials in your chimney that require a chimney repair.
Level 2: As you probably assumed, a Level 2 inspection is more detailed than Level 1. A Level 2 chimney inspection includes all of the visual examination included in a Level 1 inspection, plus some additional work including examination of the attic, crawlspace, and other accessible areas.
